About Linuru

What Is Linuru?

Linuru is a free, open-reference site for keyboard shortcuts across popular apps, tools, and operating systems. Every shortcut page is written by hand, organized by category, and designed to be useful whether you are a beginner learning your first shortcuts or a power user looking for a quick reference.

Mission

Keyboard shortcuts save time, reduce repetitive strain, and keep you in a state of flow. Our goal is to help people work faster by providing the shortcuts they need, organized clearly and accessible to everyone. No accounts, no paywalls, no clutter -- just the information you came for.

Features

  • Searchable shortcut tables -- find the exact shortcut you need in seconds.
  • Printable cheat sheets -- every page is print-friendly so you can keep a reference at your desk.
  • Mac, Windows, and Linux support -- platform-specific key combinations shown side by side.
  • WCAG accessible -- semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, skip links, and proper contrast in both themes.
  • Dark and light themes -- toggle between themes with one click, and your preference is remembered.

How It Is Built

Linuru is built with pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There are no frameworks, no build steps, and no third-party trackers. Pages load fast, work without JavaScript enabled, and are easy to contribute to. The entire site is open source on GitHub at github.com/1nspire/shortcuts.
